In the state of Georgia, over 150,000 students receive their education from private schools. School choice is favored by over 70% of the voting public. However, even with the large number of students and the overall support of the voting public, many schools struggle with financial health and available resources.
GAPPS has established a Political Action Committee to support state legislators who will work and provide legislation to strengthen private schools. While GAPPS will work on a variety of issues, two of our primary issues will be tuition support for the parents of private school students as well as low cost resources being made available to private schools for training and certification of staff.
A strong unified voice from the private school community is needed to drive legislation for the benefit of the schools and the families they serve.
